The rediscovery of some old photographs of my childhood led me on a journey of self-recognition.  I was able to learn much about our family dynamics from those photos. In all, I created a suite of four needlepoint embroideries and Blanket: Wrapped in My Parents' Love.  Blanket is done in wool cross-stitch embroidery on a cotton blanket.  I chose needlepoint as my medium for the other pieces  because of  its domestic connotations and its blurry, out-of-focus quality that is like a memory just beyond reach.
