Clouds, Alaska

Research has shown that many people never notice the sky.  How can that be?  I enjoy watching the clouds, light, and color of the sky as they change throughout the day.  In Alaska, the clouds were stupendous; perhaps they were competing with the mountains and the glaciers.

 Gardens

In 2009 I took a photography workshop at Monet’s Garden in Giverny, France.  We were able to shoot in the garden before and after it was open to the public, so we were there in the early morning and late in the day when the light was at its best.  Here are a scene from the garden, a white peony from another historic garden in Giverny, and a pink peony from my own garden.
