When I had just started to work in embroidery, I had a two-week residency at the Ucross Foundation in Wyoming. I spent some time driving around the state before and after the residency. Near Laramie I encountered the Vedauwoo rock formation and later explored it in eight embroideries. Rocks are another favorite theme.
